College Ministry

At Christ Community Church of the South Hills, we love college students.  It is awesome to have the passion and energy of the students in our community of faith, and we think it’s important to invest in them.  In addition to the students from our own community of faith, we partner with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) to reach out to students at Point Park University in downtown Pittsburgh.

Katherine Sikma, our Director of Young Adult and Student Ministry, leads our ministry on campus, which involves a weekly fellowship group, Bible studies, discipleship, and service opportunities.  For more information, visit our page on the CCO website and like us on Facebook, or come down and see for yourself.  We invite you to walk and pray with us every Thursday at noon.

From service trips with students and members of CCCSH, prayer events on campus, Steeler parties in the homes of friends from CCCSH, and care packages during finals weeks, we hope to show our love for college students.

Pastor Terry Timm says, “We view our investment in ministry to Point Park students as an opportunity to invest in the next generation of leaders who will influence and impact our region, our nation, and our world for years to come.”

“Being in an on-campus ministry has been a huge encouragement to my faith.  In an environment like Point Park, it’s important to surround yourself with like-minded believers who will encourage you to maintain your standards and hold fast to the truth of the Gospel.”  Vincent Rodgers, Point Park University, Class of 2013
