Staff

The staff directs the day-to-day affairs of the ministries of Christ Community Church. A primary responsibility of the staff is to serve ministry team leaders and empower them as they build and coordinate ministry teams that will accomplish the work of God.

Dave_BindewaldDave Bindewald was born in Greensboro, NC and spent his early childhood in the Carolinas before going to Tokyo, Japan as a missionary kid.  After graduating from the Christian Academy in Japan, he followed his high school sweetheart to Geneva College where he studied Philosophy and Psychology. He was a social worker in Pittsburgh for years and got his Masters in Higher Education from Geneva College.  He and his wife Erin have three girls–Ella, Lucy, and Kate–and have worked for the Coalition for Christian Outreach since 2001. Dave is currently attending Pittsburgh Theological Seminary part time and has a passion for Christian nurture and wisdom. (Email Dave)

Katherine Sikma – Katherine is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since graduating from Calvin College in 2004, she has served with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) in the Pittsburgh area, first at Robert Morris University and then as an Area Director and Development Associate. In the spring of 2009, when CCCSH began its partnership with the CCO, she joined us to work with students at Point Park University. Katherine, who holds a Master’s degree from Geneva College in Higher Education, also ministers to our college students and young adults at CCCSH. (Email Katherine)

Amber Steele – Amber grew up all over the United States (and also in the Philippines) because her father served in the US Air Force. After graduating from Grove City College with a degree in Elementary Education, she settled down in the Pittsburgh area and has been living here since then. After teaching for a few years, she left the education field to be a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband, Greg, have three young children, Caleb, Megan, and Micah. Amber is delighted to serve in a role where she can support children, students, and families at CCCSH! (Email Amber)

Terry Timm – Terry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Pittsburgh when he was in the 4th grade. He spent a whole lot of time in school (Duquesne University, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and Northern Seminary). He and his wife, Patty, have four kids (Nathan, Hannah, Sam and Abby).
